BECOMING A CHRISTIAN
WHAT IT MEANS TO SAY “YES” TO JESUS
Christianity is not about trying harder to be good, it’s about Jesus! The journey starts by understanding our need and trusting in what Jesus has done.
GOD’S PURPOSE: God loves us and wants us to experience peace and life.
“God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
OUR PROBLEM: We choose to disobey God and go our own way. This results in separation from God.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23
GOD’S SOLUTION: Jesus died for our sin and rose from death, bridging the gap between God and man.
“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous that he might bring us to God.” 1 Peter 3:18
OUR RESPONSE: We must trust in Jesus as our rescuer and surrender to Him.
“But all who did receive Him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” John 1:12
